When my daughter was 16 a surgery was scheduled to remove tumors in her throat to save her life.

They told her that after this surgery, she’d have to be on permanent meds and wouldn’t be able to speak again.

Last night, I watched her perform in the musical The Wizard of Oz.

On our 18th birthday, her present to me was a human hair wig made from the hair shaved from her head.

One little girl came up to the front with no father by her side. All the other dads judged the father because of how inconsiderate he must be not to be there.

The little girl explained to the crowd that her daddy would be there on that special day, but heaven’s just too far.
